Ask ChatGPT about your events

Add Eventdash to ChatGPT and ask how your events are selling. It queries your real ticketing data, so its answers match your dashboards.

Connect ChatGPT in a minute

Add one URL, sign in, and choose the organisation ChatGPT can read.

  1. 1

    Turn on developer mode

In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps, then Advanced settings, and turn on developer mode. On a workspace plan, an admin may need to allow it.

  2. 2

    Create the app

Choose Create app, name it Eventdash, paste this URL and keep OAuth as the authentication.

    https://eventdash.app/api/mcp
  3. 3

Sign in and choose an organisation

The first time ChatGPT connects, it opens Eventdash. Sign in and pick the organisation ChatGPT can read.

  4. 4

    Ask away

Add Eventdash to a chat from the tools menu, then ask about your events.

What you'll see when you sign in

Things to ask

ChatGPT works out the query, runs it against your data and answers with the numbers.

  • Which of next month's events are behind where they should be?
  • Make a chart of weekly ticket sales for every summer event.
  • Draft an email to the team about how the weekend went, with the numbers.
  • Which promo codes brought in the most revenue this year?
  • How much have we refunded this quarter, and for which events?
  • Where do our buyers come from, by city?

What it can and can't do

The tools ChatGPT gets

  • list_data_sources

Sees which ticketing platforms you've connected and how up to date each one is.

  • get_query_guide

Learns your events and ticket types, and every metric Eventdash can work out.

  • query_metrics

Runs a query and gets the rows back: sales, revenue, check-ins and refunds, by event, day or channel.

  • Read only

It can look at your data but can't change anything.

  • One organisation

It sees the organisation you pick, and nothing else.

  • Your real numbers

Answers are worked out the same way as your dashboards.

  • Yours to disconnect

Cut it off from Integrations in Eventdash at any time.

Other AI tools

They all connect the same way, through the one server URL.

  • Or any app that supports MCP

ChatGPT questions

Anything we have not covered, the team is one email away.

Email us
Do I need an Eventdash account?

Yes. ChatGPT reads the data Eventdash syncs from your ticketing platforms, so you'll sign in the first time it connects. Every plan includes it, and so does the 14-day free trial.

Can ChatGPT change anything in Eventdash?

No. Every tool it gets only reads, so it can't edit your events, dashboards or automations, or touch your ticketing platform.

Which organisation can it see?

Only the one you choose when you connect, and only for as long as you're a member of it.

What does ChatGPT get to see?

The results of the queries it runs, such as ticket counts and revenue by event, and buyers' names or email addresses if you ask about them. ChatGPT handles them under your agreement with OpenAI, as it does the rest of your conversation.

How do I disconnect it?

In Eventdash, open Integrations, then AI assistants, and disconnect ChatGPT. It loses access straight away.

Which ChatGPT plans work?

Any that supports MCP connectors. Check that your ChatGPT plan lets you add custom apps in developer mode.
